Journey through the heart of Italy while experiencing the magic of the season. Discover Renaissance treasures in Florence, explore medieval Tuscan towns, savor Italian feasts, sip vino, and experience open-air Christmas markets and streets aglow with the holiday spirit.

Metropolitan City of Florence - Metropolitan City of Florence, Italy

Meet your group and guide at a central location in Florence and head to Lucca. Settle in and explore this walled medieval town on your own. That evening enjoy a group dinner in a local restaurant featuring regional specialties.

Explore the magical city of Florence, birthplace of the Renaissance. Venture through the city to uncover churches, piazzas, artisanal shops, coffee shops, and markets, for an authentic and discovery-rich city experience. The day will include a private tour with a knowledgeable art history guide and skip-the-line-access to view one of Florence’s most famous sites – Michelangelo’s David.

Get your camera ready, as you’ll be venturing to one of Italy’s most famous landmarks – the Leaning Tower of Pisa! After you’ve snapped some pics and climbed the tower, head to the famed Carrara marble mountains, where Michelangelo procured stone for his sculptures centuries ago (or visit one the picturesque seaside towns of the Cinque Terre, which take on a peaceful, magical feel in December without the crowds of summer).

Immerse yourself in Lucca with free time in the morning to walk the city's walls, shop the local Christmas markets, ride the carousel, or sip cappuccino and people-watch. In the afternoon, enjoy a holiday-inspired hands-on cooking class and farewell feast to toast your journey. For travelers joining us over New Year's, ring in 2016 with a multi-course Tuscan dinner and celebration through midnight full of food, friends, wine and (for the more daring) dancing!

En route back to Florence, stop in Montecarlo for a farewell lunch and wine tasting before bidding your travel companions arrivederci!
