Begin your excursion with a morning visit to the medieval village of Spoleto, with its tower bridge and picturesque Duomo set against a backdrop of Umbrian forest. For lunch, travel to a winery in nearby Montefalco and enjoy a sommelier-led tasting of some of the most famous wines of the region. Then head to your accommodations to check in, relax and explore on your own.
Embark on a culinary adventure, such as a truffle hunt and picnic in the mountains or a visit to an olive mill for the season’s first olive oil pressing. Spend the afternoon exploring the town of Assisi with its magnificent Basilica di San Francesco. Finish off the day with a local feast of pasta, grilled meats and other Umbrian delicacies.
